Eligibility Criteria

Our 200-hour yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh is for aspiring yoga teachers from anywhere in the globe. And, there is no age limit for the program. However, we do not allow people to join the course if they wish to cure themselves from serious physical injuries, chronic medical conditions, or mental health disorders.

Guide to Traveling to India

Apply online for an e-Visa. Most countries approve it quickly. Print your visa and carry it with your passport.

Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, is the nearest. And, the Rishikesh bus stand and railway stations are nearby. If you land at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, there are four options to reach our ashram.

  • Flight : Take a flight to land at the Dehradun airport. After that, book a cab to reach our yoga school. Alternatively, inform us of your arrival beforehand. We will arrange for the pickup.
  • Taxi : Hire an outstation cab at the New Delhi airport to arrive at our ashram.
  • Bus : Catch a bus from New Delhi to Rishikesh. You will get cabs and other transportation facilities from the bus stand to our school.
  • Train : Board a train from New Delhi to Rishikesh. After deboarding, book a cab or an auto rickshaw to reach our ashram.

We also offer comfortable, reliable, and safe taxi services. They are for pickup and drop-off, covering the following points:

Cab fares are as follows:

  • Delhi Airport: ₹6000 / $70 (if two share: ₹4000/ $47 each)

We also offer a free cab service to pick up from Dehradun Airport at 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM on the official arrival date.

In Rishikesh,the weather is dynamic. A mix of seasonal variations transform the weather from pleasant to mildly intense during the year.

March through June are the summer months, with temperatures hovering within the 25-38 degrees centigrade. For students coming to our residential yoga teacher training school in Rishikesh during this period, we suggest bringing light clothes.

The monsoon season extends from July to September. Frequent rain showers prevent engaging in adventure activities. Also, the water level of the holy river Ganga rises, preventing rafting.

The weather in the town remains pleasant from October to February. It is the best period for enjoying the beauty of the town, visiting temples, rafting, and adventure activities.

December through February are the extreme winter months. The temperature drops to 6-8 degrees centigrade. We recommend bringing warm clothes to students if they come to our yoga ashram during these months.

Local shops for daily needs, yoga gear, and snacks, apart from pharmacies, are within walking distance of the school.

Currency exchange facilities are available in Rishikesh. In addition, there are ATMs of reputed banks nearby.

In India, electrical plugs are of C, D, and M types. And, the voltage is 230V. So, carrying a universal adapter is advisable.

Local SIM cards are available at the airport and shops in Rishikesh. You can subscribe to such a card by verifying your identity through your passport. We also provide them at the ashram-just let us know at the office when you arrive or later if you need one.

Yes, you can register for the course even if you have no prior experience. However, it is good to have a basic understanding of yoga, but not mandatory. Again, the course is also open for intermediate-level students, especially, the 100-hour YTTC passouts.

Yes, you attain the credentials to teach yoga after completing the 200-hour YTTC. And, its Yoga Alliance (USA) recognition allows you to teach worldwide.

Before you join the program, developing a basic understanding by reading online sources can be helpful. Also, you can try out a few poses. However, it is OK if you want to skip such preparations.

It is not necessary. The ashram will provide you with all essentials. However, you can bring a yoga mat of your choice, if you want.

You will need just a Tourist Visa. And, you can apply for it online on the official website of the Government of India.

There are no age restrictions. However, adequate physical fitness and mental preparedness are essential to handle the initial intensive training.

No, the course is not for medical treatments. Therefore, we advise prospective joinees with health concerns to consult a doctor before enrolling.

In such a case, there is no need to worry. Basic first-aid and essential medicines are available on campus. For serious cases, we will provide the necessary assistance for visiting a nearby doctor or hospital.

Yes, it is 100% safe for international and solo travellers. The state government has implemented tight security measures to ensure tourists’ safety.

We maintain high nutritional standards and hygiene in our food and water. We serve healthy and freshly prepared Sattvic meals. And, purified drinking water is available throughout the ashram’s campus.

Yes. A washing machine is available on campus. You can use it free of cost. And, we will arrange paid laundry service from outside, if needed.

Yes, you can. Inform us in advance and pay the applicable per-night charges. However, we do not provide food for such stays. Moreover, we can arrange hotels or homestays nearby if you want.
